You’ve probably heard of sheet cake, but this is sheet “pie”. Black cherries baked into a warm pie! I love pies and I don’t eat cake very often so instead of sheet cake I made sheet “pie”!

serve with dairy or vegan ice cream if desired or enjoy it just by itself!
this pie is bursting with cherry flavor just waiting to explode in your mouth!

Vegan option

use homemade or store bought vegan pie crust. Here is my pie crust recipe, but instead of butter you could use coconut oil for a vegan option…The best pie crust

Serves: 10-12

1 recipe for double pie crust ( store bought or homemade) The best pie crust.
the filling

frozen black cherries.

Squeeze of lemon or lime juice.

sugar to taste.

make or prep the pie crust and grease a baking sheet dish. Roll the Half pie crust dough onto a baking dish. Mix all the filling ingredients together in a large bowl. Pour into the baking dish. Using the remaining dough make strips and lay across the pie. Bake at 350•f for 40-50 mins.
